I’ve been spending much time in Winter Haven the last few days riding with the CWB crew to get ready for Worlds and to get some shots for the upcoming episodes of CWB TV. We have been logging tons of water time and footage. Some innovative, some ridiculous, but all of it fun. On Monday Matt Manzari and Stu Shinn joined us for a wake skate demo. They were actually just free riding but it might as well have been a Demo because we were all impressed. I neglected to bring my good camera along when Manzari was riding but managed to get this pic on my iPhone. Honestly the best riding iPhone shot I’ve taken. Enjoy and more to come.

Aussie Pro Tour
It recently came together that myself, Trevor Hansen, and Corey Bradley will be heading to Australia for the Aussie Pro Tour in late January and early February. Trev and I will be there for 18 days starting January 21st and Corey will pretty much be there the entire winter. I’m pretty psyched on this trip!!! Competing in the Aussie Pro Tour is just the start of it. We’re making tons of time to free ride some incredible spots, do some tow ins on the gold coast with Jeff Weatherall at snappers, and we’re going to be stopping in to many of the CWB dealers along the way.
I’m planning on documenting the entire trip right here on my website with daily blogs and photos. You’ll get to see all the stuff that usually falls through the cracks on these trips. I’ll get the entire schedule for the trip up soon. Big thanks to Justin Abbott, Kris Bowers and everyone else involved for making this trip happen.
If you’ve made it this far in this blog the next part is for you. I decided recently that coming into 09 I’m going to keep my website and blog updated through all of my travels. There were so many great experiences in the last few seasons where myself and a few friends ended up in truly unique places to ride. Beyond the usual press release and photo of the podium so much more happens on these trips.
It is on a very regular basis that I am amazed with the places and the events that I’m fortunate enough to see through wakeboarding. And I hope you will be too. From some of the most scenic places that could possibly be ridden to staying in a haunted hostel( that’s a crazy story). I’m going to keep you posted. Wait, that sounded about like a tag line for this blog. You know like a, “stay classy San Diego”. I can do better than, “Keeping you Posted”
I’ve also been shooting photos of my travels for the past 4 years and plan on having photos to go along with a majority of the blogs and as well.
much to come, Andrew

Team CWB Sits a Top at King of the Wake Event
Ask anyone who was there and they will tell you that Team CWB took the crown at this weekends stop on the King of the Wake Series. CWB team riders won titles in the Pro Men’s, Pro Women’s, and Junior Women’s divisions as well as the overall team title at the inaugural Air Nautique Wake Games in Lake Elsinore, CA. The Air Nautique Wake Games is a unique event in which a team concept is included within the event. Ten team captains, pro men, drafted 10 teams of five riders. Points won by individual riders will be totaled after Sunday’s final rounds to determine the winning team. Riders will also be going after individual titles in pro and amateur divisions. CWB would like to congratulate Andrew Adksion and Trevor Hansen for their two podium finishes this weekend. Adkison had a nearly flawless final run to edge out Tino Santori and fellow CWB team rider Trevor Hansen in the Pro Men’s final. The victory clinched the team championship for Team Adkison, barley toping the second place team captained by Hansen. The win puts Andrew 70 points ahead of second place JD Webb in the season long King of the Wake Series. Andrew is now leading the Pro Tour standings as well as the King of the Wake Series. CWB would also like to congratulate the dynamic-duo of the Hoffman sisters. Raequel and her sister Shawna are two of the most talented new women’s riders on the professional stage. Raequel, part of Team Adkison, came out of no-where killing it on the rails and going huge off the wake to knock-off local favorite Melissa Marquardt to win her first Pro Women’s title. Shawna Hoffman, Raequels younger sister and riding partner, threw down a huge run to distance herself from the field and win the Junior Women’s title going away. This was Shawna’s second Junior Women’s victory in as many tries. Don’t miss these two in the up-coming all female wakeboard/wakeskate DVD – The Chick Flick by DPC Films. CWB would once again like to congratulate our Athletes for their great performances over the weekend. We hope their strong riding will continue throughout the rest of the season. To read more about the CWB riders and see some of their riding, check out our team page.
